Accord makes the Top 50 Housing Associations list
20 July 2017
Accord has been named among the country’s most influential social landlords in a list compiled by a leading industry magazine.
It was announced this week that Accord has been ranked 11th in 24Housing’s top 50 social landlords in the UK, which sees the organisation standing on par with some of the biggest housing associations in Britain.
The list, which was revealed in July’s issue of the housing magazine, was compiled through a mix of online voting and a judging panel made up of housing experts.
With the top 10 being decided purely by a public vote, Accord secured the top place as voted for by the judges, proving they are one of the brightest and best in the industry.
Accord Chief Executive, Dr Chris Handy said:
“It’s fantastic to be named as one of the top 50 social landlords in the country, and to be being ranked so highly at number 11 is a great achievement.
“It is, however, a real testament to all our great people and their commitment to delivering homes and services in ways that meet need and are innovative every day. We have set the bar high and next year, we are aiming for Top 10!”
The judges recognised the fact that regardless of the challenging and ever changing external landscape, Accord continues to pioneer a range of outstanding housing, health and social care services, to over 80,000 people across the Midlands and beyond.
Weight was also given to Accord’s commitment to employing local people and supporting local economies through jobs provision.
Accord were also praised by the judges for continuing to provide a rich thread of diverse services including housing co-operatives, offender rehabilitation and also the trailblazing off-site manufacturing plant, LoCaL Homes in Walsall.
